Schedules
A schedule is a calendar of entries. Each entry says: play this playlist or layout, on these screens or groups, during this time.
Create a schedule
New schedule
Go to Schedules → New schedule and give it a name, e.g. Downtown stores – Q4.
Choose targets
Pick one or more screens and/or screen groups. Screens added to a group later inherit the group’s schedules automatically.
Add entries
Click a slot in the week calendar, or Add entry, and set:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Content | A playlist or layout |
| Days | Any combination of Mon–Sun |
| Time range | Start and end time, e.g. 06:00–11:00. Ranges can cross midnight (22:00–02:00) |
| Date range | Optional start / end date. Leave empty for “always” |
| Priority | 1–10, default 5. Higher wins when entries overlap |
Review conflicts
Overlapping entries are highlighted in the calendar. Hover one to see which entry wins on each screen and why.
Publish
Click Publish. Players receive the schedule within seconds (or at their next 60-second sync) and store it locally.
Timezones
Times are always interpreted in each screen’s local timezone. A 09:00 entry starts at 09:00 in Lisbon and at 09:00 in New York — you don’t need one schedule per region.
Recurring vs one-off
- Recurring — leave the date range empty; the entry repeats every selected weekday.
- Campaign — set a date range (e.g. 24–28 Nov) for promotions. Expired entries are greyed out and can be archived.
The Timeline view (Screens → screen → Timeline) shows exactly what a single screen will play over the next 7 days, after all schedules and priorities are resolved. Use it to double-check before a big launch.
Schedules depend on the player’s clock. Players sync time via NTP — if UDP 123 is blocked on your network, content may switch at the wrong time. See Content not updating.
