BrightSign

BrightSign players are purpose-built for 24/7 signage and are the most reliable option for always-on screens. Veyli supports Series 4 (XT4, XD4, HD4, LS4) and Series 5 (XT5, XD5, HD5, LS5) models.

What you need

  • A supported BrightSign player with current firmware (OS 8.5 or later recommended)
  • A microSD card (Class 10, 8 GB+; 32 GB+ recommended for video-heavy playlists)
  • A computer to copy files to the card

Install

Download the package

Download autorun.zip for BrightSign from veyli.cloud/download .

Prepare the SD card

Format the microSD card as exFAT (or FAT32). Unzip autorun.zip and copy its contents (including autorun.brs) to the root of the card.

Optional: network settings

If the player needs a static IP, Wi‑Fi credentials or a proxy, edit veyli-config.json on the card before ejecting:

{ "wifi": { "ssid": "Store-Signage", "passphrase": "••••••••" }, "proxy": null, "timezone": "auto" }

Boot the player

Insert the card and power on the BrightSign. It installs Veyli Player and shows a 6-character pairing code on screen.

Pair in the dashboard

In app.veyli.cloud  go to Screens → Add screen, enter the code, name the screen and choose its screen group and timezone. See Pair your first screen.

Leave the SD card in the player. Veyli Player runs from it and uses it as its media cache.

Auto-start

BrightSign players run autorun.brs from the SD card at every boot, so Veyli Player always starts automatically — there’s no OS UI to hide and no kiosk configuration needed.

Offline caching

  • Media is cached on the SD card, up to 80% of free space.
  • The player continues its schedule indefinitely while offline.
  • Use a high-endurance SD card; cheap cards wear out under constant writes.

Tips

  • Firmware: keep BrightSign OS up to date. The player can update its firmware from the screen’s settings page in the dashboard.
  • 4K and HDR: Series 5 XT/XD models decode 4K60 H.265 and HDR10; use them for premium video walls.
  • Wired networking: BrightSign players are most reliable on Ethernet. PoE+ models (XT/XD) can run from a single cable.
  • Re-pairing: to move a player to another workspace, remove the screen in the dashboard, then use the Clear cache remote command or reformat the card.
