LG webOS
Veyli Player runs on LG commercial displays with webOS Signage 4.0 or later. You can install it from LG’s SI Server setting (recommended) or with an IPK file on a USB stick.
Consumer LG TVs are not supported. You need an LG commercial / signage display.
Install
SI Server (recommended)
Open the installation menu
With the LG signage remote, press Settings for 5 seconds (or press Home → Settings → General → Installation menu with password 000000, depending on model).
Configure SI Server
Go to Signage Setup → SI Server Setting and set:
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Application launch mode | Remote |
| Fully qualified domain name | On |
| FQDN | https://play.veyli.cloud/webos |
Apply and reboot
Save and power-cycle the display. It downloads and launches Veyli Player automatically.
Pair the screen
The player shows a 6-character pairing code. In app.veyli.cloud go to Screens → Add screen, enter the code, name the screen, and choose its screen group and timezone. See Pair your first screen.
Kiosk and auto-start settings
| Setting | Recommended value |
|---|---|
| Power on status | Power on (resume after power loss) |
| No signal power off | Off |
| Auto power off (4 hours) | Off |
| Screen saver | Off |
| Key lock (IR & local keys) | On once paired |
| Time setting | Automatic (NTP) |
Offline caching
- The player caches media in the display’s internal storage, up to 80% of free space.
- Content continues playing from cache when the network is down; proof-of-play logs upload when it returns.
Tips
- SI Server mode updates itself: each boot checks for the latest player build, so no manual updates are needed.
- Video codecs: H.264 and H.265 are hardware-decoded. VP9 support depends on the model.
- Can’t find the installation menu? It varies by firmware — check your display’s installation manual for “SI Server”.
- See Playback issues if video stutters.
