Samsung Tizen
Veyli Player runs natively on Samsung commercial displays (SSSP) with Tizen 4.0 or later — for example the QM, QB, QH and OM series. No external media player is needed.
Consumer Samsung TVs are not supported. You need a commercial (SMART Signage) display with the URL Launcher feature.
Install via URL Launcher
Open the display menu
Using the remote, press Home and go to Settings → Support → About this TV to confirm the Tizen / SSSP version.
Set the play mode
Go to Home → URL Launcher Settings (on some models under System → Play via) and set Play via to URL Launcher.
Install the web app
Choose Install Web App and enter:
https://play.veyli.cloud/tizenThe display downloads and installs Veyli Player, then launches it.
Pair the screen
The player shows a 6-character pairing code. In app.veyli.cloud go to Screens → Add screen, enter the code, name the screen, and pick its screen group and timezone. See Pair your first screen.
Auto-start and kiosk settings
| Setting | Where | Value |
|---|---|---|
| Play via | URL Launcher Settings | URL Launcher |
| Auto power on | System → Power control | On |
| Standby control | System → Power control | Off |
| Screen saver / Lamp schedule | System | Off (let Veyli schedules control content) |
| Menu lock | System → Security | On (prevents people using the remote) |
| Firmware updates | Support → Software update | Manual, outside business hours |
With Play via → URL Launcher set, the display boots directly into Veyli Player after a power cut.
Offline caching
- Tizen displays have limited internal storage (typically 8–16 GB). The player uses up to 80% of free storage for cached media.
- Keep video bitrates reasonable (≤ 20 Mbps for 4K, ≤ 10 Mbps for 1080p).
- Content keeps playing from cache while the display is offline.
Tips
- Updates: the URL Launcher checks
https://play.veyli.cloud/tizenfor player updates on boot. Use the Restart player remote command to apply an update immediately. - Clock: make sure System → Time → Clock is set to automatic, otherwise dayparted schedules may fire at the wrong time.
- Portrait mode: set the rotation on the screen’s settings page in the dashboard rather than the display’s OSD; Veyli rotates content in software.
- Screenshot: the Take screenshot command is supported on Tizen 4.0+.
