Windows
Veyli Player for Windows runs on Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit). It’s the best choice for video walls, multi-display setups, high-end 4K playback and interactive touch kiosks.
Recommended: Intel Core i3 (10th gen+) or Ryzen 3, 8 GB RAM, SSD, hardware video decoding.
Install
Download the installer
Download VeyliPlayer-x64.msi from veyli.cloud/download .
Run the installer
Double-click the MSI and follow the prompts. Veyli Player is installed for all users and registered to start at sign-in.
For silent deployment (Intune, SCCM, GPO):
msiexec /i VeyliPlayer-x64.msi /qn AUTOSTART=1 KIOSK=1Pair the screen
Veyli Player opens full screen and shows a 6-character pairing code. In app.veyli.cloud go to Screens → Add screen, enter the code, name the screen and choose its screen group and timezone. See Pair your first screen.
Kiosk and auto-start settings
Create a dedicated local user
Create a standard (non-admin) account such as signage and enable automatic sign-in for it (netplwiz → untick Users must enter a user name and password).
Use Assigned Access (recommended)
On Windows 10/11 Pro, Enterprise or Education, open Settings → Accounts → Other users → Set up a kiosk, choose the signage account and select Veyli Player. Windows now launches only the player on that account and restarts it if it closes.
Disable sleep and interruptions
- Settings → System → Power: screen and sleep → Never
- Turn on Focus assist / Do not disturb to hide notifications
- Set Active hours in Windows Update so updates never restart the PC during opening hours
Without Assigned Access or the KIOSK=1 flag, staff can press Alt+F4 to close the player. Always lock down public-facing PCs.
Offline caching
- Media is cached in
C:\ProgramData\Veyli\cache, up to 80% of free disk space. - To use another drive, set the
CACHE_DIRMSI property at install time. - The player keeps playing its schedule while offline.
Multiple displays
One Windows PC can drive several screens. In the player settings, choose Display mode:
| Mode | Behaviour |
|---|---|
| Single | Plays on the primary display only |
| Span | One canvas stretched across all displays (video walls) |
| Independent | Each display becomes its own screen with its own pairing code |
Tips
- Install GPU vendor drivers — the generic Microsoft display adapter has no hardware video decoding.
- Exclude
C:\ProgramData\Veylifrom antivirus real-time scanning to avoid stutter during downloads. - Use the Reboot remote command after Windows updates if the player doesn’t return on its own.
